All 6 groups have started filming. The students are working so well together and the energy in the classroom during art club is excited, focused and creative. I am so impressed by these kids!! Here are some behind the scenes photos of their in-progress work.
Today I presented at the FAEA in St. Petersburg! I spoke about how I created my Animation Art Club. It was exciting to be able to speak about my little art club to other interested art teachers. Now I can relax and enjoy the rest of the conference in this beautiful Fall weather.
Each group uses the thumbnails as a guide to create the characters and backgrounds for their story. The students were working well with each other to divide the jobs and they interpreted their sketches in very creative ways.
Objectives: Research assigned country, write story with group and create thumbnail sketches of each scene.
This year the topic is Fiction + Non Fiction. Each group has to create an animation with an original fictional story taking place in a foreign country. We assigned each group a country which they have to research and incorporate those real facts into their fictional story.
